Almost a year sober!!
I last had an alcoholic drink on 31st December last year. So I am now 11 months and 5 days sober. Only another 26 days till I have achieved 1 year's sobriety!! Life without alcohol abuse is so much and in many ways a better life. I was listening to a Christian intellectual on YouTube who stated Christians believe that people unlike animals have a will and an intellect and what is so bad about alcohol abuse is that it diminishes our intellect and weakens our will. An alcoholic under the influence of excessive alcohol can over time act in crazy ways hundreds of times and thousands of times can say stupid things. When sober I can think before I speak or act.
